!A 25 year old man has perished in a fatal accident
that happened at Kamuserwa cell, Nyarurambi ward, Rubanda town council along
Kabale- Kisoro road in Rubanda district on Saturday 10th June 2023.Police
identified the deceased as Tuyisenge Alex Samuel,resident of Nyaruhengeri cell,
Busamba ward, Southern division, Kisoro municipality in Kisoro district.
Kigezi Police PRO Elly Maate told our reporter that the accident happened at 6:30 am when
Tuyisenge Alex Samuel who was riding a motorcycle Bajaji boxer UFG 730J
heading to Kabale collided with a toyota premio UAY 258C from the
opposite direction.
Tuyisenge a boda boda rider was operating from Busega stage in Kisoro municipality.
Police said that the driver of the car was driving on the wrong lane hence colliding heading on with the motorcycle.
Tuyisenge Alex Samuel and his passenger were seriously injured and were rushed by UP 7647 to Muko HCIV from where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The passenger was referred to Kabale hospital for further management.
Police attributed the cause of the accident to reckless driving by the premio driver.
