Kabami primary teacher perishes in road accident

-A 41 year old and a teacher at Kabami primary school in Chahafi town council has today been knocked dead by a speeding motorcycle registration number UFC 984D carrying a box of Mandazi.

The deceased has been identified as Senzira Henry aka Sempa a resident of Gisha cell, Central Ward in Chahafi town council while the Motorcycle rider is yet to be known because he fled the scene after the incident.

He was knocked at 9:00 am while on his way to school. Sempa has been a math and science teacher at Kabami primary school since 2010.

The Gisha LC1 Chairperson, Wandirera Joseph says that his village has lost an iconic citizen and a loved teacher. He condemned the uncontrolled speed of Mandazi riders that has continued to cause accidents and loss of lives.

The Kabami primary school deputy Head teacher, Turinayo Herbert said that he was shocked by the news of Sempa being involved in an accident in the time when he was waiting for him at school in order to execute their duties as two teachers on the day's work timetable.

According to Turinayo, Kabami primary school has lost a passionate, respectful, practical, and unique teacher who cannot be easily replaced.

He also appealed to the employers of Mandazi riders to engage their workers and encourage them not to always go over speed because they affect road users in different ways. He noted that most of them are always competing for the market.

Meanwhile by press time, the Mandazi box was missing at the scene but eye witnesses said that it was labelled as Gift Bakery.
