The Executive Director of Eden Mission,
Kenneth Rwego Gahuriro, has called on the Christian community to avoid
divisions based on religious affiliations if they wish to see a prosperous
Kisoro.
Speaking as the
Guest of Honor at a fundraising event organized by Shozi Catholic Church under
Mutolere Parish, Rwego emphasized the importance of unity among Christians.
He reminded the
congregation that regardless of being Catholic, Protestant, or belonging to any
other denomination, they all worship the same Jesus. He urged them not to allow
personal agendas to divide them, stressing that even after elections, they
remain neighbors and relatives.
The event was
attended by notable figures, including Nyakabande LCV Woman Councillor Florence
Nkuranga and businessman Emmanuel Habimana Kabebe.
During the
fundraiser, church members raised 1.6 million shillings, while Rwego personally
contributed 2.9 million shillings, bringing the total amount to 4.5 million
shillings—meeting the choir’s financial needs.
Florence
Nkuranga, chairperson of Shozi Catholic Church, expressed gratitude to Rwego
for his continued support of the people of Kisoro through Eden Mission.
