Another suspected thief killed in Nyakinama sub county

 

A suspected thief was last night killed and his lifeless body discovered today morning in Nturo village,Rwaramba parish Nyakinama sub county after he allegedly stole a bunch of matooke.

The deceased was not yet identified by press time.

Residents of Nturo village who spoke to our reporter said that they were alerted that there is a dead body dumped by the road side.

Residents could not recognize the dead person and they alerted Nyakinama police for immediate assistance.

When Nyakinama police reached the scene they did not touch on the body of the deceased but they also alerted Kisoro police.

 Police from Kisoro central police station reached the scene and checked the deceased body to find whether he had identification documents, but only condoms were full in the pockets.

Residents of the above address said that they are battling with the problem of theft in their village where they call upon to offer possible solution.

Habimana Godfrey security chairperson of eight villages in Nyakinama Sub County known as Benemugabo Umwe group showed his dissatisfaction says some business men deal with thieves who sell them things they stole on a cheaper price.

However the body of the deceased was retrieved and taken to Kisoro hospital mortuary for post-mortem. 

Mean while another man identified as Steven Hafasha 20years old and a resident of Matalama Village, Gisozi parish, Muramba Sub County was lynched to death in Makurizo village Bunagana Town Council after residents suspected him of stealing sheep.

Steven was killed and the body was taken by Kisoro district police to Kisoro hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

MURDERS THAT OCCURED IN NYAKINAMA IN MAY 2023

Nsabimaana a resident of Burihira village in Rwaramba Parish in Nyakinama Sub County was beaten to death for stealing irish potatoes.

A 20 year old man Ngororano Dickson a resident of Gasave village, Nyakinama sub county in Kisoro was also lynched to death for stealing a bunch of Matooke last months.
