Police in Kisoro are hunting for suspects who allegedly assaulted a 15 years old Gilbert Niyiduha a resident of Kanyamicucu village Kirimbiro parish Kyanika town council Kisoro district, and died instantly.
ccording to kigezi police spokesperson Elly Mate,it is alleged that on Saturday the 4/05/2024 at around 12:.00hrs, the deceased Gilbert is alleged to have tresspassed to the home of the suspect one Niyonzima Amos and deficated in his pit latrine and was seen by the wife of the suspect one Nyirangorore Mickline who informed the husband who also mobilized young men and was brought before him and canned 10 strokes.
Elly Mate said the boy, was taken to Claresenga health centre 3 by his mother where he died from.
He said the police were notified,the scene of crime was visited and documented,statements recorded from the relevant witnesses and the body taken to Kisoro hospital mortuary for postmortem.
Inquiries at hand and efforts to trace for the suspects to be arrested are being made.
