Eden Mission has injected a support of 90.million shillings into three savings and credit cooperatives (SACCOs) of Gakenke, Nturo, and Gatare, located in Gisorora parish, Nyakabande sub-county, Kisoro district.
The executive director of
Eden Mission, Kenneth Rwego, presented a check to members of the three SACCOs
at a vibrant ceremony held a dummy check yesterday at Gakenke Primary School in
Mburabuturo village. Gakenke SACCO received 37,500,000, Gatare SACCO received
UGX 27,000,000, and Nturo SACCO received UGX 26,250,000.
Rwego announced that the funds would be extended at a low
interest rate of 1% per month to enhance financial stability within the
community. Rwego emphasized Eden Mission's mission to alleviate individual
burdens and foster healthy families glorify God.
Grace Akampurira Mutabazi, the coordinator for Eden Mission in the Kigezi region, encouraged beneficiaries to strategize and effectively utilize the funds for their development.
Kasigazi Jackson, chairperson of the three SACCOs, praised Eden Mission and Rwego for their generous support. He described Rwego as a compassionate leader dedicated to uplifting others.
Rukara God, the Nyakabande LCV male councilor, also commended Eden Mission for their donation and urged beneficiaries to adopt a culture of saving as a means of personal growth.
